Tools of Individuation

  • Jung Center, 193 Park Row Brunswick, Maine (map)

Based on a three-year encounter with a “wholly other force within,” Diane Croft will describe a descent into the deeper layers of the primordial unconscious. Acting as a scribe during that period, Croft recorded hundreds of “poetic message” from an unknown writer, whereupon the “dictation” ceased. It took a decade of struggle to make sense of the experience, which will be explored during this workshop. Her presentation will vividly demonstrate the dynamic relationship between the ego-driven personality and the greater and much older collective unconscious.

“Diane Croft’s two-hour presentation is one of the finest ever given at our Tools of Individuation series. Her cogent and extraordinarily meaningful account of a personal confrontation with the unconscious was illuminating. It provoked considerable discussion and reflection at the Maine Jung Center in the weeks and months that followed. Highly recommended.”
